It was the right book but we also had to purchase an access code to use it. I don't know if the physical book comes with the code or not. Make sure you don't need to purchase anything additional before renting this book.
This made the price the same as getting a physical book. One person found this helpful. He claimed that we should not take it. Upon entering my American Government class, my professor immediately let everyone know that the class would be everything but easy.
He claimed that we should not take it as an easy A class and that in order to pass we would need a good American Government book that would cover everything from the types of government to the elections. He ensured that we purchase this book because he claimed that despite it not being the newest edition, it still covered everything he would teach. It arrived two days after I ordered it and proved to be one the most useful textbooks I've ever used, when my teachers notes did not thoroughly explain, I would turn to the book and it would explain everything I needed to know.
I would recommend this text to individuals who are taking an American government course that focuses primarily on the election, due to being an election year, my teacher has chosen to focus on this.
